Help, I’m a Tourist

The Association of Tourist Friends (hey, that’s exactly what I need!) is a non-profit organization to help point visitors in the right direction.  Their office is 33 Qasr El-Nile St., 9th floor, El Tahrir, Tel. I will be contacting the tourist office in Cairo and will pick up a package of materials that will be useful for us — including free maps!  Their website is here.

Korba

Korba is an area in Heliopolis with a juxiposition of Islamic and european architecture.  The streets have a variety of businesses…small shops, cafes. florists, bookshops.  My kind of place.
